I wish I would have realized this sooner because I would have tried harder to complete those quests since they’re only available for a limited time. It wasn’t until late in this week that I realized that the Mad Scientist Lab available through completing 31 of the Halloween quests was a really great opportunity. Sometimes they call for use of resources that I need to progress myself further in the actual storyline quests, so I would rather not waste them. The daily tasks are pretty difficult to complete in 24 hours, so far I have only completed 1 of them. It was going to cost me more coins and supplies to build that then completing the quest would give me in return, so I swiped and realized that I am able to abort the Sideline quest. I was being told to build an Iron foundry, but I did not want to because that is not one of the goods that I have a deposit for. I just realized this week that I am able to skip the Sideline quest if I do not want to do it. So far, the ongoing storyline quest seems to be helping to progress through the ages.

About a year or so trying other games, I came back just looking to kill time, play casually and not so competitive. It was very tough to be competitive and still have a professional career and a family. There were new features, new buildings, new events, new worlds were available every 3-9 months to get a fresh start. Eventually the daily grind of GvG becomes a chore in order to stay competitive and time to bail again. The game was starting to become not so much like a chore, but actually kinda fun. As years go by, many improvements were made. But that competitiveness comes at a cost, your time. But I keep getting drawn back to the game for it's city building and competitiveness. I been playing this game off and on for the most part of 7 years. There was no Aid button, no GvG, no events worth playing, no app, no incidents, no tavern, no auction dealer, no daily challenge, no GE, no GbG, no arc, no observatory, only fighting was against your neighbors and continental map. |
